I seem to be in the minority when it comes the worth of Timelies Face. Timelies was a typo error but I have decided to leave it because it about sums up this book.

I think this book is terrible. These exericises “might” tighten some muscles of your face, but the way they are done would no doubt cause wrinkling. The descriptions of the exercises are vague such as “position your tongue and jaw”. Huh? The pictures are not very good at showing you exactly which muscles you are supposed to be working either. In addition, they look ridiculous and not as though they would work the intended area. The pictures look like an out of work actress who enjoys looking at herself make faces in the mirror. I was totally disappointed.

This book is filled with great suggestions for making a tired face look younger. You can discover why your face looks the way it does and learn how to go about improving it. The photos are most helpful and easy to follow to learn the correct way to do each exercise. After doing these exercises for a couple of weeks I can definitely say that my face looks firmer and that I feel better about my appearance. I would recommend it to any mature woman.

The person who wrote the above-mentioned review stated that
“any dermatologist” would tell you that pulling/stretching your
skin would damage it. This is a classic construction used by
people who don’t have any real evidence to back up their statements.
Now, I could throw my credentials up into your face,
but credentials are not an argument, so let’s use some common
sense: EVERY exercise you do – in fact every single movement
you make – pulls and stretches your skin in a gentle fashion
(such as even the reviewer admits the book is speaking of);
anyone who’s ever moved knows this. (In the interests of giving
the benfit of the doubt, I note that the reviewer apparently lives
on the couch; perhaps this explains the review.) This contributes
to the health of your skin by increasing circulation
to it as well moving toxins out through it (as it is designed to
do) and stimulating its cells to grow. Further, if we were to
follow the reviewer’s reasoning, it would mean that all
externally-applied massage is harmful to the skin; does this
correlate with your experience? I would imagine not. Enough said.

This is a precious book because its topic is precious. People know us by our face, and Elinwood shows that keeping the face healthy and vibrant improves not only the impression we make on others, but how we think and the way we feel. By combining methods from Chinese Medicine, energy healing, and facial toning, Timeless Face pvoides a delightfully SIMPLE and accessible program for maintaining inner and outer beauty.
